A collection of Photographs taken around Sligo County (and possibly Leitrim).
After 3 years living in Dublin City, I moved back to Sligo in 2009. Sligo is where I’ve spent most of my life (also Kildare where I’m originally from), as a kid moving from what was a rapidly growing suburb in Celbridge to the diverse countryside of Yeat’s County was an absolute adventure. We spent days wandering the fields of Drumcliffe, exploring the Strandhill & Rosses Point coastlines, chasing through the forest of Hazelwood & looking down on county from the heights of Ben Bulben Mountain.
Moving back after a few years in the city, I felt compelled to explore again but this time capture my adventures. That is where photography started for me and My Sligo is my first photographic project, one that wont end as long as I am living in this beautiful county. The collection starts with a photo taken literally 60 seconds away from my home house in Rathcormac . . .
